Hamburger Inn Diner in Delaware

Awesome place! Tried for the first time and went for their breakfast. It was very good, and a very good portion for the price. You can tell because they almost didn't have an empty seat in the house when we got there at 8:30ish on a Sunday morning. Great server, Bree was very friendly and accommodating even during the rush.

I suggest getting take out. Would suggest eating outside because the place is packed inside, but there are enough noisy trucks going by regularly to wish for a cone of silence or a picnic on University grounds. The noise can't be helped, obviously.

Awesome little diner that features a great breakfast menu (their cinnamon rolls are very good) and, in my humble opinion, the best burger in Delaware. The service is always fantastic and the staff are very courteous. If you are in the area I absolutely recommend sticking your head in to check out this local favorite.

The food is awesome, the servers are awesome. It is an old school diner like the one I went to in the 1960s. The staff is always kind and responsive, like Shelby the other day. The Hamburger Inn is the reason we come to Delaware.

Our first visit and not our last. Had a bacon cheese double burger with fries and a soft drink. Tasty burger and crispy fries. Bun was good but I was really full after so I might skip the bun next time. My wife got a single with provolone cheese and shared my fries. Surprise!! Kaylyn our server gave us a cinnamon roll as our first visit treat. I got a cup of coffee and we started with dessert first!!

This place has some delicious REAL diner burgers. The fries are really good and they have like 6 different styles of french fries. They have handmade shakes. But the real kicker is the famous AMAZING cinnamon rolls.

The special today was brisket and it was great. Very tender, and tasted great. Along with the baked mac n cheese finished off with their great cinnamon rolls. Great experience. They are still figuring out some of the finer points of indoor social distance dining.

Excellent customer service and great food! There was no wait for our large group of seven. We also greatly enjoyed how the food was made in front of us!

My son loves coloring at 'the place with the stools' and always enjoys his meal. My Greek salad was delicious and cheese sticks are always hot and fresh. And it's always fun to watch your milkshake be prepared and topped. Atmosphere and staff are always friendly, even when I wheeled in with my giant double stroller and infant :)

Now when i tell you this is an amazing restaurant, i mean it. This place is feels like home. Its where i go for special dinners and late nights out and sometimes even an early lunch. Hamburger inn makes delaware. The food is delicious and the staff make me feel welcome. Especially my girl Kaitlyn! I love this place!

Wonderful breakfast on quaint outdoor seating. Cool old time counter service - very positive vibes. Pancakes we're great! Service excellent!

I have been going here for years. I love the service.Prices are very affordable and the food is awesome. Party of 7 can eat for less than $80 and get very full

We had a wonderful first time experience at the Hamburger Inn Diner this week! We did a search for restaurants in Delaware as we passed through on a trip to Cleveland. We saw the high ratings and decided to give them a try. From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left, we were treated to the best customer service! They are taking the COVID situation very seriously by blocking off some of the seating, server wearing a mask, and you could find bottles of hand sanitizer every where you looked. We ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich which were both excellent! The one order of fries was more than enough for the both of us and they were so good! We were given a special treat for being first time customers - their fried cinnamon roll was amazing! Thank you to the Hamburger Inn Diner for everything, and you are definitely on our favorite list. Customer service like this can be hard to find, and we will be back to experience it again as soon as possible. :-)

This place is awesome! Very friendly service and you get a free cinnamon roll if you're new to the area. Great local business worth every dollar!

This place is set up as a typical diner with limited seating. We had a great breakfast. The cinnamon rolls are fabulous. The coffee is hot and the wait staff friendly & efficient. Surprisingly the bathrooms are big & super clean, I wasn't expecting that! I highly recommend.
